| Subject: Shellshock Forums - Rules Thu Jan 06, 2011 10:35 pm | |
| The rules for Shellshock Gaming forums are as so. - Don't flame. Starting pointless fights, or fighting in general, is against the rules. If you have a problem with a user, either report to a moderator, or calmly debate with them. If you expect the conversation to de-rail from the thread's subject, take it into private messages.
- Don't spam. Posting pointless content that doesn't relate to the thread's subject will de-rail the thread, resulting in a lock or ban. Normally, pointless content describes things such as stupid, unrelated images (LOLcats, for instance), spamming (posting stupid messages such as "i liek tis thred olol") or memes.
- Be helpful. If somebody asks a question such as "How do I install mods to my PC?", don't reply saying something like "You learn how to become intelligent, idiot." This is not helping the asker, and or anybody at all.
- Don't over-post. If you make a lot of thread and posts, you will be clogging up the forum, and the general community will dislike you for it. Please try to avoid it, as it is often considered spamming (see above).
- Don't post adult, or revolting images. These include porn, real gore/blood, or overly-creepy images. If you want to post them, then put a link to the image, and generally say what it is first. You don't have to put a full, thorough description, but saying something along the lines of "Look at this puppy!" and then linking to an image of a human being eaten is against the rules.
Failure to abide to these rules will result in a warning or a ban, temporary or not, depending on the severity of the offence. After three warnings, you will be temporarily banned. If you are temporarily banned three times, you will be banned permanently. However, some offences can be so extreme that they will result in an immedite ban (temporary or not, it depends on what the offence is). |
